This page explains, in plain language, what Freelance Figures collects, why, and how to opt out. If any of it doesn't match what the site actually does, email hello@freelancefigures.com and it'll get fixed.
What we collect
Aggregate, anonymous analytics: which pages and calculators get used, roughly where visitors come from (country-level), and general device or browser type. This data isn't tied to a name or account, because the site doesn't have accounts.
An email address — only if you choose to subscribe to updates (for example, a new-calculator alert). If you never type an email into anything on this site, we don't have one for you.
We do not collect names, payment details, or any personal profile. There's nothing for sale on Freelance Figures and nothing to log in to.
Cookies & advertising
Freelance Figures uses, or plans to use, Google AdSense to serve ads once the site is accepted into the program. Once ads are live, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technology in your browser to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Google explains exactly what those cookies do and how partner sites use them at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites — that's the authoritative source, not this page.
Visitors from the EU or UK see a consent choice before any advertising cookie is set, and can decline non-essential cookies while still using every calculator on the site normally — none of them require ads, cookies, or an account to work.
GDPR and CCPA, in plain terms
If you're in the EU, the UK, or California, you have rights over data collected about you — broadly, the right to know what's held, ask for a copy of it, ask for it to be deleted, and opt out of it being used for ads. Because the only personal data we might hold is an email address from people who actively subscribed, exercising these rights is simple: email hello@freelancefigures.com and ask. There's no automated self-service portal, because there isn't enough data collected to need one — a human (me) handles it directly.
Opting out
- To stop receiving emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or just email hello@freelancefigures.com.
- To limit advertising cookies, use the consent choice shown to EU/UK visitors, or your browser's own cookie and tracking-protection settings — most modern browsers can block third-party cookies outright.
- Google also offers its own ad-personalization controls at adssettings.google.com.
